Regulation (EU) 2020/1817
In forceDelegated RegulationSustainable Finance

This Regulation supplements the EU Benchmarks Regulation (EU 2016/1011) by specifying how benchmark administrators must explain how environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors are reflected in the benchmark methodology. It sets minimum content requirements and a uniform template to ensure comparability between benchmarks and to provide investors with clear and consistent ESG disclosures. It applies to benchmarks with potential climate impact (such as equity and bond benchmarks) and does not apply to commodity benchmarks or to interest rate or foreign exchange benchmarks.
