ESPR and Energy Labelling Working Plan 2025-2030: priority products and timing
On 16 April 2025 the Commission published the first ESPR and Energy Labelling Working Plan, setting under Article 18 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1781 (ESPR) the product groups prioritised for ecodesign requirements. Priority final products are textiles/apparel, furniture, tyres and mattresses; intermediate products are iron and steel and aluminium; horizontal measures cover repairability (including scoring) and recycled content and recyclability of electrical and electronic equipment. The plan also sets the timetable for ongoing energy-related product ecodesign and energy label reviews. Years given are indicative adoption dates; binding requirements will follow in delegated acts.
