Biocidal Products Regulation: Extension of Data Protection Periods
This Regulation amends Articles 60 and 95 of the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR), extending from 31 December 2025 to 31 December 2030 the protection period for new data submitted on or after 7 June 2018 for active substance/product-type combinations for which no approval decision had been taken before 7 June 2018. Data owners may claim fair compensation from operators on the Article 95 list of suppliers that benefited from the protection gap between 1 January 2026 and the entry into force of this Regulation.
