PPWR has applied since 12 August 2026. The declarations of conformity, supplier data and EPR information your European customers ask for end up with your sales, QA and packaging teams. ZC’s PPWR in-house training is organised by role, built on material written by practising EU consultants, and uses your own packaging for the exercises.
Modules
- M1 PPWR overview, roles and timeline (managers, cross-functional contacts): manufacturer, supplier, importer or EPR producer; the 2026 to 2040 timeline and “the later of” dates; obligations already in application and enforcement direction.
- M2 Packaging inventory and supplier data (packaging engineering, procurement): sales, grouped, transport and e-commerce packaging; material, weight and supplier lists; what to request from suppliers under Article 16.
- M3 Substance restrictions and test reports (QA, laboratory): substances of concern, the 100 mg/kg heavy-metal sum, PFAS limits for food-contact packaging, how to read a test report.
- M4 EU Declaration of Conformity and technical documentation (QA, regulatory, ESG): conformity assessment, Annex VII technical documentation, what to check when a customer asks you to sign a DoC, retention and versioning.
- M5 Packaging design for 2030 (packaging engineering, R&D, design): recyclability grades, recycled content, minimisation and empty-space ratio, harmonised labelling.
- M6 EPR and communication with EU customers (export sales, e-commerce): country-by-country EPR registration and authorised representatives, marketplace checks, answering customer questionnaires.

| QA / ESG | M1 + M3 + M4 | Assemble evidence, issue or review a DoC |
| Packaging / procurement | M1 + M2 + M5 | Inventory packaging, request the right supplier data, adjust designs early |
Material
Methodology guides, SOPs, templates (DoC, technical documentation, supplier information requests, packaging BOM), an FAQ compendium with official references, and anonymised case studies from ZC projects. Every module cites article numbers and European Commission documents.
How it works
- 30-minute scoping call: products, packaging, customers, participants.
- Proposed syllabus combining modules and exercises.
- Delivery on site or online, using your own packaging.
- Follow-up: slides, participant questions, hand-over to daily work.
